Ms. J Boudoir Session – Redefining the word ‘selfish’
I loved working with Ms. J for her Kalamazoo Boudoir Session. She came to me looking to treat herself in a unique way. As a mother of a five, working full time, AND a full-time student, this mama needed to step away from her life of being pulled in a million directions. She recognized the need for self-care in her life and that brought her to the boudoir experience. Ms. J is like so many of us moms, letting our crazy life go on day-in and day-out with no “me time”. Then came the day when she said, “enough is enough.”
Ms. J came to me looking to feel powerful, calm, and the best of all… SELFISH! Yes, she wants to feel selfish. As she should! So many of us look at the word selfish negatively, but she recognized that every other moment of her life is dedicated to those around her. Being selfish is a form of self-care when you spend all your time taking care of others. It is absolutely needed to fill your cup first to continue being the best version of yourself so then you can serve others.
Our session helped her create the vision of what she was looking for, a sexy silhouette, while giving her an entire experience. An experience that consisted of pure “me time”. Ms. J made sure she left the experience with beautiful wall art to remember her powerfulness and as a beautiful reminder to always find that time for herself. A true form of self-care and self-love for this hard-working, woman and mama!

“I have been drooling over boudoir sessions for more than three years. Absolutely loving the pics but internally criticizing my body (mom belly stretch marks). I finally decided to just go for it. From the beginning, Brea told exactly what to expect, what I need to get ready. I was nervous y’all, NERVOUS! She has an eye for poses that I loved. She was encouraging me the entire time.
