A Birthday Celebration

We have to share Ms B’s birthday celebration at our West Michigan Boudoir Studio. She decided to celebrate her birthday this year with an amazing gift for herself and treat herself to a luxury experience. Here is a little bit more about her and her overall experience.

What is the purpose of your session? Is it a gift for yourself or someone else? What interests you in a boudoir session at this point in your life?

Turning 40 this year, gift for myself

Tell me about yourself. Personality, kids, profession, favorite food and hobbies? What do you value? Absolutely anything you want to share so I can get a sense of who you are, what you like. I want to see you for you and beyond the social media glimse.

I’m 39, a mom of 3 wonderful and crazy kiddos, nurse for 10 years. Family is everything. 

What is your biggest struggle in life right now?

Getting older, dealing with 3 kids! 

Have you done a session like this before? What was your experience? What did you like? Is there anything you disliked?

How do you want these images to feel? How would you like to be photographed overall? Any certain style you love? Feel free to link or send any inspo images if you have them.

I just want to feel confident in these pictures. I typically am very critical of myself in pictures and end of taking the pictures instead of being in them. No style that I’m really looking for, just fun and sexy.

What is something that amazes you about your body?  What is something about your SELF that amazes you?

I am very caring and have a lot of compassion for others. I love making people laugh and making people feel loved and special

What was the last thing you did that made you feel super confident or where you felt full of purpose?

Being a nurse, feeling like I have made a small difference in someone’s life

What was your favorite part of the session?

Seeing the final product!

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

Wasn’t sure what to expect. I was nervous, but of course, and had no idea what I was doing but overall I felt like it was a comfortable environment and I felt guided through the whole experience

What was the best part of your overall experience so far? Would you change anything?

Seeing the end result, looking back on those images. Still can’t believe I did it. 

What did you think when you saw your images for the first time?

Loved them, was a little in shock though!

Did you find my self love tips and exercise emails helpful? Anything that stuck out to you?

Absolutely. I love that the experience was about loving yourself and your body and not so much about looking sexy

Did you find my session preparation helpful? Anything that stuck out to you or helped you the most?

Sadly I didn’t prepare like I should have. I definitely should have worked on posing prior because I was so sore the rest of the day!

How nervous were you before you shoot? How did you feel after?

Very nervous, but felt comfortable once everything got started

Do you have any final thoughts, feedback or anything else you’d like to share? 

Overall great experience! Would recommend for any female!
